APPRENTICE BOILER MAKERS ( HEAVY FABRICATION APPRENTICESHIPS) 1st - 4th years.

Founded on a commitment to employ quality apprentices and provide exceptional support, OSMAC Apprenticeships has grown to be one of Queensland's largest apprentice employers achieving industry leading completion rates.

We currentlyrequire multiple 1st-4th year Heavy Fabrication (Boiler Making) apprentices for Brisbane Southside clients. One aspect of the work on offer will involve doing/learning steel fabrication, specialising in architectural metalworks across all aspects of the building and construction industry. People with relevant industry experience that wish to gain formal qualifications are encouraged to apply and has the potential be fast tracked to qualification.

Applicants must meet the following criteria.

  • Possess a manual licence with reliable transport
  • Be punctual and have a good attendance record
  • Be motivated and have a positive attitude
  • Polite and enthusiastic
  • Follow instructions well
  • Be willing to become a skilled fabricator (this is more than a welding job)
  • Have a skill set relative to the time in trade (2nd, 3rd & 4th years)
  • Experience with MIG welding
  • Able to read basic drawings (2nd, 3rd & 4th years)
  • Willing to learn to fabricate to a high standard and within tolerances
  • High level attention to detail & quality control
  • Be open to gaining experience in all facets of the trade.
  • Able to work safely
  • Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status
  • Opportunities to do site work (white card/fork lift licence is an advantage)
