Heavy Maintenance Australia (HMA) is a family-run business that specializes in maintenance, fabrication, sandblasting/painting, and labor hire. We provide services for Heavy Duty Diesel fitters, Auto electricians, HV electricians, Boiler makers, spray painter/blasters, trades assistants, and more. Our expertise includes general servicing, complete overhauls, fabrication, and repairs of heavy equipment, as well as sandblasting and refinishing. HMA caters to the mining, civil, and transport industries and also offers dry hire specialty equipment for various maintenance needs.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Diesel Mechanic. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, conducting preventive maintenance, repairing diesel engines, and working with heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting equipment inspections, and ensuring that all maintenance and repair tasks are completed according to safety standards and specifications.

Qualifications

  • Vehicle Maintenance, Equipment Maintenance, and Diesel Mechanics skills
  • Experience with Heavy Equipment and Preventive Maintenance
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Relevant certifications in diesel mechanics or similar fields are beneficial
  • Experience in the mining, civil, or transport industries is a plus
