Our client is a market leader in their industry and they are currently seeking a for a highly skilled and experienced MEAN Development Lead to join their Technology team on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong chance for extension.

This roll will work across enhance and modernize a suite of internally built applications critical to their business. You'll work closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions tailored to the the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end applications using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, , Angular, ). Ensure responsive UI and robust backend services.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of developers, conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and champion best practices in modern application development.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, align on priorities, and ensure solutions meet business and regulatory needs.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, support containerized deployments, and manage version control via GitHub.
  • Drive solution architecture, apply microservices principles, and ensure scalable, secure application design aligned with Financial Services best practices.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring reliability, compliance, and performance of developed solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of hands-on application development experience
  • Expertise in the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express, Angular, ) - Mandatory
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerized deployments (e.g., Docker)
  • Proficiency with CI/CD frameworks and GitHub for version control
  • Exposure to Financial Services, ideally in the Investments domain
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques or business intelligence tools
  • Experience deploying to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure or AWS)
