Job Description – CA Gen Model Management Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a
CA Gen Model Management Specialist
to join our technology team. This role is responsible for supporting developers, managing models within Guardien/CSE environments, preparing releases, and ensuring smooth operations of CA Gen environments. The specialist will work closely with developers, project teams, and third-party vendors to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance model management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Tasks

  • Support developers with Guardien, CSE, Report Composer, XML Composer build issues, and PC-related problems.
  • Communicate with developers on model management issues and provide technical assistance.
  • Perform ad-hoc migrations and publish component operations.
  • Apply system updates, including migrating changes to controlled models and generating code.
  • Generate and build new releases (e.g., RegStar).
  • Check-in modules to the TTN system and upload constructed modules to JFrog.
  • Prepare Bitbucket release files for deployments.
  • Transfer and enroll letter templates on the Paris test server.
  • Manage cross-release migrations, merges, and reworks.
  • Prepare and configure Guardien and Unix environments.
  • Validate release brief documentation and synchronize test environments.
  • Maintain and update scripts to support developers and model management.
  • Prepare production release files.
  • Create and modify entities (tables) on the CSE.

Quarterly / Longer-Term Tasks

  • Install and upgrade CSE server software (CA Gen/Guardien).
  • Export models and perform other CSE model-related activities.
  • Create and maintain Guardien support scripts.
  • Liaise with third-party software providers (IET, Broadcom, Canam Software).
  • Represent Model Management at project and release meetings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues.
  • Test and validate new AVD configurations for Gen/Guardien.
  • Create models for special projects.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • General Unix skills with the ability to debug compiler/linker errors.
  • Strong experience with Guardien and CSE environments.

Desirable / Useful

  • Unix shell scripting.
  • Perl scripting.
  • Windows batch scripting.
  • Windows Server administration.
  • Experience with Report Composer and XML Composer.
