Overview

We are seeking a CA Gen Technical Architect with extensive experience in Broadcom CA Gen and mainframe environments. This role will provide technical leadership, solution design, and modernization strategy for enterprise applications built on CA Gen. The ideal candidate has a strong background in application architecture, integration, and migration initiatives.

Responsibilities


• Define and drive architecture, design, and modernization strategy for CA Gen applications.


• Lead end-to-end solution design integrating CA Gen with DB2, CICS, COBOL, and mainframe utilities.
• Provide technical leadership to development and support teams.


• Assess existing applications, recommend re-engineering, migration, or optimization strategies.


• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and developers to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.


• Oversee performance tuning, scalability, and system reliability.


• Prepare and maintain architecture diagrams, technical roadmaps, and documentation.

Required Skills


• 1
0+ years of IT experience with at least 7 years in CA Gen (Broadcom).


• Strong knowledge of mainframe architecture (z/OS, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, COBOL).


• Expertise in application design, system integration, and performance optimization.


• Proven track record in leading teams, mentoring, and technical decision-making.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills


• Experience in modernization projects (CA Gen to Java/.NET migration).


• Knowledge of API, microservices, and cloud integration strategies.


• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools in mainframe environments.


• Industry experience in financial services, insurance, or government domains.

Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
