Dream Job for outdoorsy creative who loves fishing and social media and marketing.
Ryan Moody Fishing is Australia's leading online fishing education platform, helping over 30,000 students in 80 countries catch more and bigger fish.
We're looking for a talented Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join our content creation team (38 hrs/week). If you're passionate about content creation, digital marketing, and the fishing lifestyle, this is your chance to turn your passion into your profession.
You'll create and schedule social content, repurpose existing fishing footage, help write newsletters and blog posts, and support our marketing campaigns during product launches and promotions.
This is a flexible, work-from-home role ideal for a self-starter who's creative, organised, and genuinely loves the outdoors.
You'll take our treasure trove of existing footage — plus new material from Ryan — and turn it into engaging, scroll-stopping content that educates, entertains, and drives sales of our online fishing courses.
This role is perfect for someone positioned in FNQ and could become a hybrid role working directly with the founders.
About Us
Ryan Moody Fishing helps anglers catch more fish and live their adventure through world-class online courses, fishing education, and travel inspiration.
We're a small, friendly crew of creative people who love what we do — and we're looking for someone who shares that same enthusiasm for fishing, storytelling, and inspiring others.
About the role
The Social Media & Marketing Assistant plays a key role in bringing our content and campaigns to life.
You'll help grow our online presence, manage day-to-day social posting, assist with email newsletters, and support campaign coordination during sales and new course launches.
This role is hands-on and varied — one day you might be editing short Reels or YouTube Shorts, and the next, drafting a blog or newsletter to our 30,000+ global students.
You'll work closely with our content team, business manager, and videographer to turn ideas into engaging, high-performing content that reflects the RMF brand.
Ideally you'll have 1-3 years social media marketing experience. Additional tasks including engaging with our private fishing communities, and (possibly) assisting our performance specialist with setting up paid advertising campaigns.
This is not a typical 9-5 business and does require flexibility in working hours and occasional monitoring on some weekends and evenings.
You'll be managing your own time, so you'll definately be motivated and able to work without supervision, bringing your vision of this role to life.
