Byrne Trailers is a leading manufacturer of Heavy Vehicle Transport Equipment with its Head Office based in Wagga Wagga NSW and a division in Toowoomba QLD.

About the role:

Byrne Trailers is seeking an experienced Vehicle Body Builder to join our team in Wagga Wagga. This is a full time position where you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of our high quality trailers.

What you'll be doing:

  • Welding and fabricating components for specialised Livestock and Bulk Cargo Transport Equipment
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Operating a variety of metalworking equipment, including MIG welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools
  • Preparing and finishing metal components to a high standard
  • Collaborating with the production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive experience as a Vehicle Body Builder, ideally within the heavy vehicle industry
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques,
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in the use of metalworking equipment and tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
