Viva Leisure parent company to hiit republic one of Australia's leading fitness companies are looking for a new Head Coach to join our studio on a permanent part-time basis in Weston
Founded in 2004, Viva Leisure operates fitness clubs within the health and Leisure industry. We have a trajectory of growth as the largest independent health club operator in Australia and are the first fitness facility operator to list on the Australian Securities Exchange.
hiit republic coaches report to the Studio Manager, and deliver classes that are fun, challenging and motivating, in an all-inclusive environment. We redefine group training, through a fusion of hiit, strength and conditioning training principles, and help everyone unleash their inner athlete.
This role allows for the opportunity to provide exceptional service performance classes to our members. We pride ourselves on positive member experiences filled with growth and passion. Along with exceptional service, this role requires maintaining and increasing class numbers.
As Head Coach, you'll lead from the front in our dynamic studios, delivering fun, results-driven classes and creating an engaging member experience. You'll drive studio performance through exceptional coaching, community building, and a strong focus on member growth and retention.
Alongside delivering high-energy sessions, you'll play a hands-on role in welcoming and converting new members, mentoring coaches, and upholding studio standards. With your passion, leadership, and service focus, you'll help shape a thriving fitness community that embodies the hiit republic brand.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSWe are looking for someone with:
Essential Qualifications
- Certificate III in Fitness
- CPR Certification (current and valid)
- First Aid Certification (current and valid)
- For roles in Creche, Swim School, and Group Fitness Instruction (GFI) in QLD: a valid Working with Children or Working with Vulnerable People Check is required. Please confirm with management whether this applies to your position
Desirable Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Fitness
Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in First Aid procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe training environment
- Strong knowledge of fitness training methods, exercise principles, and program deliver
- Familiarity with fitness technology, equipment, and modern instructional techniques
- Ability to consistently promote and uphold safety standards for members and staff
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- A motivational, adaptable communication style that engages diverse member groups
- Effective time management skills to ensure smooth class pacing and studio scheduling
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, foster inclusivity, and engage groups
- High levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism in all member interactions
- A compassionate, approachable attitude with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in coaching and fitness instruction
Member Experience & Coaching
- Deliver inclusive, inspiring, and results-driven classes while creating a positive, supportive studio environment.
- Educate members with up-to-date fitness knowledge and foster an inclusive community through events.
- Lead class delivery and timetable management, ensuring consistency, safety, and operational excellence.
- Mentor and support new coaches to maintain high coaching standards.
Membership Growth & Service
- Welcome, tour, and onboard new members, trialists, and leads while driving conversions through proactive follow-ups.
- Support retention and sales by building strong relationships, responding to enquiries, and contributing to a sales-focused culture.
- Represent the brand at community and outreach events, contributing ideas for growth and engagement.
Studio Standards & Operations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional studio, conducting regular checks on equipment, facilities, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with WHS standards, reporting incidents or hazards promptly.
- Complete administrative and operational tasks to support smooth studio performance.
