Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Salary: up to $175k + Super

Sydney - Remote options available 

Help shape the future of retail media by building scalable, high-performance data solutions that power innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines (batch & streaming).
  • Architect and manage robust data platforms on GCP and AWS.
  • Lead data warehousing solutions using Snowflake.
  • Automate workflows with Apache Airflow and ensure data quality & governance.
  • Build semantic layers and data models for usability and discoverability.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies, driving continuous innovation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in data engineering with strong SQL expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, GCP & AWS.
  • Strong skills in Airflow, Python, data modelling, and Git.
  • Experience with semantic layers and dashboarding (e.g., Metabase).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or AdTech.
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Pub/Sub, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and MLOps practices.
