HammondCare provides care primarily through hospitals, residential care homes and home-based care as well as services for dementia support, community palliative care, rehabilitation, positive aging and older persons' mental health.
The OpportunityThis is a permanent full-time position where you will be responsible for leading a passionate and dedicated team of staff to deliver HammondCare's model of care with it's Social Club service across Redcliffe, Carindale and Burpengary.
Hammond Care's Social Clubs provide a social environment where older people can take a break from their home environment, connect with their community and spend a day socialising while being supported by our talented team.
Responsibilities- Aid in recruiting and leading staff, managing budgets, ensuring quality and overseeing all aspects of care provision at the Social Club
- Provide strong and effective leadership, direction and oversight of operation of the Social Club
- Operate social club inline with CHSP Operational Manual
- Operate club inline with Aged Care Act and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
- Achieve targeted outputs for social club
- Provide staff and volunteers with support and advice on daily operational care issues
- Certificate IV in Aged Care or other relevant qualification.
- Experience in Community Aged Care management
- Experience running a CHSP Social Club
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and problem solve with limited supervision.
- Strong organisational abilities, including effective time management and ability to prioritise in a busy work environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Experience managing a team of skilled professionals
- A current driver's licence and safe driving record
- Willingness to travel between HammondCare's sites and services
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
