Begonia State School is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Business Manager to join our team one day per week.

This role involves contributing to the effective and efficient administrative management of the school by providing relevant and timely support to the Principal.

This is a job share arrangement with one other person, making strong communication skills essential.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.17FTE), 12 hours per fortnight.

About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and organised Business Manager to oversee the administrative management of our school. Working closely with the Principal, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our corporate services and administrative functions. This role is part of a job share arrangement, requiring excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Managing day-to-day office procedures, including reception, correspondence, and maintaining school records.
  • Supervising and supporting school support staff, including managing workloads, performance, and training.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and managing financial tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and banking.
  • Coordinating the management of school resources, facilities, and assets, including organising repairs and maintenance.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with administrative and business requirements.

This role would suit a proactive and organised individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys contributing to the success of a school community.

  • Experience in administrative management, including financial and resource management.
  • Proficiency in using management systems such as OneSchool or similar platforms.

  • Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise and support staff effectively.
