Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Security Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the security industry, a comprehensive network of contacts, and experience working on national projects. This role will involve developing new leads, managing existing client relationships, and overseeing medium to large projects within the Education, Government & Councils, Industrial, and Commercial sectors. The projects will range from $200K to $10M+ in value. The candidate will also have room to grow within the business and the opportunity to help develop and manage the sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Sales:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the security sector, focusing on key verticals such as Education, Government & Councils, Industrial, and Commercial. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of sales leads. - Client Relationship Management:
Manage relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Provide ongoing support, regular updates, and address client concerns. - Project Oversight & Execution:
Oversee and lead medium to large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to client specifications. Projects typically range from $100K to $1M+. - Networking & Industry Presence:
Utilize your established network of industry contacts to create opportunities for collaboration and growth. Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to stay informed of market trends and potential leads. - Collaboration & Team Leadership:
Work closely with the technical and project management teams to ensure seamless execution of projects. Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring all project requirements are clearly understood and met. - Market Research & Strategy Development:
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs. Contribute to the development of business strategies and marketing campaigns to expand market share. - Tender Collaboration:
Collaborate with the tender team to secure national tenders and large-scale projects, helping ASC remain competitive in the security industry. - Team Growth & Leadership:
As the business grows, you will have the opportunity to help develop and manage the sales team, driving the growth of ASC's market share.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in the security industry, preferably in a business development or sales role.
- Proven experience in working on large-scale, national projects ranging from $100K to $1M+.
- A comprehensive network of industry contacts within the Education, Government & Councils, Industrial, and Commercial sectors.
- Strong understanding of security systems, technologies, and solutions.
- Experience working with trusted security equipment brands such as Inner Range, Genetec, Avigilon, Tecom, and Axis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- A passion for business development and a results-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with security technologies, such as CCTV, access control systems, and alarms is essential.
- Proven track record of securing high-value contracts and managing key accounts.
