As we continue to grow, we're seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team and spearhead business growth in Queensland.
About the Role:
This newly created position requires a dynamic, results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and expand Fire Response's market presence, focusing primarily on the mining sector with opportunities to expand into the fire brigade market. Working remotely, you'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, lead-generation and driving sales growth. Working remotely, you are required to be self-motivated, trustworthy, and capable of managing your time effectively to meet sales goals. This role includes hands-on product demonstrations to support new business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive new business opportunities within the mining and fire brigade sectors.
- Build and expand relationships with new B2B clients and industry stakeholders.
- Prospecting, identifying opportunities and converting leads into long-term clients.
- Meet and exceed sales budgets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Conduct product demonstrations for clients, showcasing solutions that enhance safety and performance.
- Regularly visit prospective and new clients across Queensland to provide hands-on service and support. Willingness to travel frequently across Queensland and occasionally interstate and overseas.
- Represent Fire Response at industry tradeshow's and exhibitions across Australia to build new networks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with the head office, report to the Managing Director, and contribute to tendering processes, proposals and strategic growth planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system and other sales tools.
- Work closely with the broader sales and product teams to ensure effective service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Potential overseas travel for product training and supplier visits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in business development or B2B sales, with a proven history of meeting and exceeding targets.
- Experience selling into the mining, fire brigade or emergency service sectors is highly regarded.
- Direct experience working in the mining or emergency services industries is also highly advantageous. Candidates with a Mines Rescue background looking to transition out of the mines, while remaining in the industry, are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with CRM systems and maintaining detailed client records.
- Familiarity with mobile equipment, firefighting products, emergency response solutions, mining machinery, thermal imaging cameras, or firefighting foam or similar industries is a plus.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Able to conduct product demonstrations as required.

- Able to regularly travel visiting potential and current clients.

Location:
