This is not just an ordinary sales role; it's about creating magic for our clients and delivering exceptional events that leave lasting impressions. You'll be at the forefront of driving MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) business across all Village Roadshow Theme Parks (VRTP) venues, building strong relationships, and contributing to our vibrant and growing customer base.

You'll Be

  • Hunting for Opportunities: Proactively research and identify new business leads and convert them into loyal clients.
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute targeted sales strategies and action plans to achieve KPIs and revenue goals.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of leisure and MICE accounts with a focus on growth and retention.
  • Creative Selling: Use innovative and persuasive sales techniques to secure business and negotiate win-win contracts.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Craft compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs and showcase the unique value of our venues.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to inform strategy.
  • Travel & Networking: Represent VRTP at trade shows, networking events, and client meetings—interstate travel required.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and provide insights to improve outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and event delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of events.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in the business events, hospitality, or tourism sector with strong industry connections.
  • A track record of success in sales, client acquisition, and revenue generation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Knowledge of contracts and legal considerations in event sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Opera, and SAP.
  • A results-driven mindset with accountability and a commitment to excellence.
