Axxin is seeking a scientist or technical graduate to join our dynamic IVD medical diagnostics instrument team with varied tasks in technical writing, documentation and product research and specification.

The role will involve a mix of  technical writing, analysis and graphics tasks working with the company's Systems Engineering group to draft, review and manage a range of technical documents and formats including specification, presentations, user manuals, user interface screen designs, research reports and technical descriptions.

The successful candidate will build understanding of instruments in diagnostics applications and assist the systems engineering group in liaison with partners, collaborators and stakeholders.

Axxin is a growing Australian technology company with global projects developing platforms and products for biomedical diagnostic applications.

Based in the inner Melbourne suburb of Eaglemont, you will be part of a team development environment creating leading edge medical instrument designs, hardware and software.

Professional Requirements

Graduate degree in science or engineering with a strong aptitude for documentation and written communication.  Axxin has roles within our groups to suit either an experienced technical writer or a recent graduate to undertake career development within the company.

Excellent spoken and written English is essential.

The successful applicant will be a motivated self starter with a good aptitude for documentation, organisation and administrative tasks.

The successful applicant will have attention to detail, and will be creative, self motivated and able to work to deadlines and schedules.

A demonstrated approach to clear thinking and problem solving is required.

Good computer literacy in Word, Excel, Illustrator and drawing packages required.

Suitable candidates will have a scientific or technical background, and strong communication and documentation skills, be well organised and have an enthusiasm for working as part of a team.
