About Us
Tiwi Islands Regional Council is the heart of community support and infrastructure on Bathurst and Melville Islands. As a lead organisation in maintaining essential community services, we are dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of our island's infrastructure to serve our vibrant community.
The islands are home to the Tiwi people, who have a strong affiliation with their land and waterways, along with a distinctive culture and language. There are school and medical facilities on the islands, with regular plane, passenger ferry and barge services operating to Darwin.
Role
Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure, you will coordinate the Council's aerodrome response teams at Milikapiti, Pirlangimpi and Wurrumiyanga to ensure Aerodrome Reporting Officers (ARO) meet legislative requirements and standards.
You will also coordinate the Council's residential housing lease program and related maintenance activities.
