Mechanical FitterWe're currently seeking experienced Fitters or Mechanics to join a leading mining equipment manufacturer in Wacol. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent, working on large component rebuilds for a major international OEM supplier of mobile plant equipment. APPLY NOW - Call Harvey

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete strip downs and rebuilds of heavy earthmoving and mining equipment
  • Perform fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of components such as:
  • Final drives, swing devices
  • Hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and motors
  • Use OEM-specific tools and procedures throughout the rebuild process

Licenses and Requirements -

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Diesel Mechanic, or LV Mechanic
  • Strong experience in fault finding and diagnosis
  • Previous work with heavy mechanical rebuilds preferred
  • Hydraulic systems experience highly regarded
  • LV mechanics with lighter component experience also encouraged to apply

Work Conditions & Pay -

  • Afternoon shift with full-time hours + overtime
  • $53.00 per hour + penalties
  • Opportunity for permanent employment
  • Workshop based in Wacol
