An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team at our Wacol facilities in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual with a proactive mindset who is committed to providing an effective professional service. This role will be responsible for providing preventive and reactive maintenance across the production plant. This role is on a full time permanent bases, have that added security with entitlements.

This is a full time position with the potential to earn $60,000 - $80,000 or more with additional allowances and/or overtime.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

- To ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
- Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
- Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
- Providing mechanical support to day shift and afternoon shift as required.
- Other responsibilities that may come up, such as working on projects.

About you:

- Certificate III or above qualifications in hydraulics or pneumatics; and/or
- Certificate IV Engineering Mechanical Special Class; and/or
- Certificate IV Fluid Power (Pneumatics)
- Ability to MIG and TIG Weld Stainless steel highly desired
- Forklift Ticket highly desired
- Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
- Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired.
- Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG - (_food experience would be highly regarded although not essential_)
