As a Senior Technology Project Manager at Essential Energy, you will lead the delivery of complex technology change initiatives that support our business transformation.
Within the Strategic Network Analytics team, projects are designed to sit at the intersection of technology, analytics and real-world business outcomes. Here, the focus extends beyond the technology itself, leveraging advanced analytics to inform decision-making and drive meaningful change across the organisation. By harnessing the power of technology and data, these initiatives bridge the gap between insight and impact, ensuring that every technological advancement is rooted in genuine business value and community benefit.
You'll be responsible for managing end-to-end project lifecycles. Your engagement and commitment are crucial-we are seeking individuals who not only embrace the vision but are ready to actively champion the project, fostering collaboration and shared ownership at every level. By investing in the success of our initiative leads and supporting staff throughout each phase, you will help drive projects to successful completion, ensuring meaningful outcomes for our organisation and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives that drive business transformation, ensuring projects align with strategic goals and deliver tangible benefits for regional, rural, and remote communities.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and scheduling for technology change initiatives
- Deliver executive-level reporting on milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to pioneer innovative, sustainable, and adaptive energy solutions using advanced technologies and analytics, ensuring effective communication and change management
- Champion project vision and foster a culture of engagement, ownership, and shared accountability among initiative leads and staff throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement processes to ensure value and service excellence
About You
You are a seasoned technology project leader with a proven track record of delivering complex change in large enterprise environments. Your ability to lead diverse technical teams, influence outcomes, and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders sets you apart. You thrive in dynamic settings and are passionate about driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale technology projects and programmes
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities in IT and corporate environments
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and performance reporting
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including executive-level reporting
- Certifications in Prince2, PMBOK, ITIL, Agile or SDLC are desirable
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent experience
