About our role

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Food Safety leader is responsible for developing and maintaining the Food Safety Management System to meet required standards.

Key accountabilities include developing and maintaining documentation regarding Food Safety such as HACCP, Food Defence/Fraud, Allergen management and Foreign Material Control at site. The role is also accountable for developing and implementing systems, processes, procedures, SOPs and training material to achieve Food Safety at site.

In this hands on role you will also support the site with training, testing and sensory activities.

About You

You are degree qualified with a Bachelor's degree in science, food science or related discipline, with a current certification in Internal auditing and HACCP.

You will have experience working as a Quality Lead in a matrixed, fast-paced, and dynamic FMCG environment with demonstrated results pivoting business and building stakeholder value.

You will have excellent knowledge of Quality Regulations and standards, as well as business operations including Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, SOP.

You understand and have managed customer requirements and complaints, as well as raised, investigated and closed out non-conformances.

You will have led or been part of Traceability/Mock Recalls as part of customer audit requirements as well as supported New Product Development trials and sensory testing.

Your collaborative working style, and excellent communication skills make you a real team player, as does your willingness to be action orientated in a small team.
