The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Wok Chef to master our station and play a key role in delivering high-quality, delicious Malaysian dishes. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating a high volume of orders with speed, precision, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute wok cooking techniques to prepare authentic Malaysian dishes to the highest standard.
• Manage the wok station during high-volume service periods in our fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ensure all food preparation and cooking processes comply with strict health and safety regulations.
• Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and organization at your station.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory, and ensure the freshness of all ingredients.
• Collaborate effectively with other kitchen team members to ensure seamless service.

About You:

You are a dependable and energetic chef who thrives under pressure. Your passion for Malaysian cuisine is matched by your technical skill and commitment to quality and safety.

Essential Requirements:

• 2-5 years of proven experience as a Wok Chef in a professional, high-volume kitchen.
• Exceptional skill in wok cooking and a deep understanding of Malaysian cuisine and its core ingredients (e.g., Char Kuey Teow, Wok Hei, Wat Tan Hor).
• Thorough knowledge of food safety and health regulations (HACCP certification or equivalent is highly regarded).
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• A team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Legal right to work in Australia.
