Our fit-for-purpose indoor and outdoor plantation pine products are suitable for building new homes, renovation projects and other industrial manufacturing applications including packaging, pallets, and furniture components.

About the role:

We currently have a permanent, full-time vacancy for a Safety Systems Manager, based out of our Scoresby office. The role leads the development and delivering our safety systems and audit processes across the business, focusing heavily on our two manufacturing sites in Tasmania and South Australia.

Reporting into the GM - Safety, this role will be responsible for maintaining the safety management system, aligned to the ISO45001 standard. In addition, it will work closely with stakeholders on establishing an audit program to maintain consistency across the business and drive continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the review, consultation and design of the health and safety management system
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of the health and safety management system
  • Establish a consistent internal safety audit program that includes both systems and risk reviews
  • Complete internal audits and support external requirements
  • Coach all WHSE team members and site/business leaders in the review and execution of all documentation
  • Consult with site and function leaders on requirements and drive improvement in the use of the systems and system improvement
  • Report on systems and audit performance and monitor completion of improvement plans

Qualifications and Qualities that you will bring to Timberlink:

  • Lead Audit certification (or be working towards the completion of one)
  • Formal qualification in Safety or similar
  • Previous experience leading a safety system & audit program
  • Outstanding people leadership and management skills and committed to people development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
