About the role

As a Commis Chef at Hyatt Place Caribbean Park Melbourne, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. In this full-time position, you will work alongside our talented culinary team to prepare and cook delicious meals in our award-winning HOTEL RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR, ARCHIE'S RESTAURANT & BAR based in Scoresby, Victoria.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assist the Chefs in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards
  • Contribute to the development of new menu items and recipes
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen at all times
  • Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Support the planning and execution of events and catering functions

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques
  • Capability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a passion for cooking
  • Flexible to work various hours, including evenings and weekends
