The Opportunity

We're seeking a hands-on Social Enterprise Manager to lead day-to-day operations of our recycling and reuse site in Cloncurry. You'll mentor young people and participants with disabilities, keep the site safe and compliant, own daily checks and logs, handle customer enquiries and complaints, and make sure admin and reporting are tight and on time.

What you'll do
  • Run daily operations of the recycling & reuse site (opening/closing routines, workflow and rostered activities).
  • Ensure WHS compliance: complete and file daily safety checks, hazard/incident reports, inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Maintain required checks, logs and registers (equipment, vehicles/plant, training, waste/recycling movements, cleaning).
  • Provide patient, kind, on-the-job mentoring to young people and participants with disabilities; set clear tasks and support success.
  • Deliver responsive customer service; acknowledge and resolve complaints professionally and within policy timeframes.
  • Keep administration sharp: recordkeeping, stock/consumables ordering, contractor/vendor coordination.
  • Prepare concise operational reports for management and funders; respond promptly to emails and stakeholder requests.
  • Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers and community stakeholders; represent RedDoor well in the community.
