About the work unit / facility

The Procurement and Contracts Unit, part of the Office of the Chief Finance Officer within Corporate Services, plays a vital role in supporting the operational and strategic procurement needs of Townsville Hospital and Health Service. Based at Townsville University Hospital, the team ensures procurement activities and contract management are conducted with integrity, transparency, and alignment to Queensland Government policies.

Competitive salary and benefits

  • Salary between $ – $ per fortnight (AO6).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with % loading.

About your opportunity

As the Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer, you will lead high-risk and high-value procurement activities, manage contracts and agreements, and provide expert advice to minimise commercial risks. You will work closely with stakeholders across the health service to ensure compliance, transparency, and value for money in all procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in commerce, business, economics or health management are highly regarded.
  • Queensland Government Procurement Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Class C motor vehicle licence.
  • A probationary period may apply.
