About the work unit / facility

The Health Security Department (HSD) at Townsville University Hospital is a vital part of Campus Operations within Facilities and Integrated Support Services. With approximately 60 staff, the department delivers contemporary, safe, and best-practice physical and personal security services across TUH, Kirwan Health Campus, and Joyce Palmer Health Service on Palm Island.

Competitive salary and benefits

  • Salary between $ – $ per fortnight (OO6).
  • 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with % loading.

About your opportunity

As Assistant Manager (Training), you will lead the development and delivery of mandatory and role-specific training for Health Security Officers. You'll drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support a culture of person-centred care and professional excellence across Townsville HHS sites.

Requirements

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessing, or ability to rapidly acquire.
  • CPPSEC3111 Restrain persons using handcuffs, or ability to rapidly acquire.
  • Ability to operate a class C motor vehicle with appropriate licence endorsement.
  • Experience in workforce training, preferably in health or emergency services.
  • A probationary period may apply.
