Our client is an international flavour company, who prides itself on providing creativity and innovation, quality products, and reliable and flexible service.  Operating at our Mt Molloy Factory, this role is responsible for the following:

  • Ensure safety standards are adhered to in all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain plant in satisfactory working order in accordance with schedules.
  • Manage a small workshop.
  • Authorise the procurement of machine parts and advise of shortages in working inventory.
  • Ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Supervise the work of sub-contractors on general building or plant maintenance.
  • Maintain and Improve the Preventative Maintenance Program as required.
  • Conduct general maintenance tasks eg changing pump seals, servicing equipment etc

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • an appropriate trade qualifications and experience in a similar environment.
  • ability to weld to a good standard using all processes
  • sanitary tube welding highly desired
  • ability to read and interpret a P&ID
  • experience or willingness to learn PLC programming and fault finding based on Logix5000 ladder
  • good general fabrication skills with a variety of materials
  • basic machining skills on a lathe and mill
  • excellent computer skills
  • understanding of DC circuitry and ability to fault find medium complexity DC control circuits below 24V
  • basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • ability to work shifts
  • hold HR unrestricted truck, forklift and EWP licences
