We operate a large Christmas Lights website and online community and are seeking a creative writer to help with writing articles and updating content.

This is a remote, flexible role averaging around 8 hours a week (with more work available in November). You'll just need to meet article deadlines—our media partners are counting on us to deliver on time

The Role:

  • Write and update articles featuring the best Christmas Lights around Australia (all content is provided – this is not a research role).
  • Write and update other Christmas-related articles on our website.

· Opportunity to write social posts and assist with other ad-hoc content tasks during December.

Keys To Success

  • You can creatively summarise homes with Christmas Lights based on user-submitted photos and descriptions.
  • You have a rich, descriptive vocabulary and can vary tone to keep articles engaging. (Could you describe the same display a second time and keep it sounding fresh?)
  • You're able to follow the flow and tone of existing sample articles.

We welcome applicants from all walks of life — whether you're a university student, graduate, experienced writer, or simply someone with a big love for Christmas and storytelling.

Note: We love AI as much as the next, but human touch is essential with these articles

  • Duration: Mid-November to mid-December
  • Hours: Flexible (average 8 hrs/week; more early on)
  • Location: Work from home (or wherever feels most festive)
  • Contract: ABN required

Pay: $28.00 per hour
