Are you passionate about medical entry and want to make a real impact on the next generation of doctors? At Contour MedPrep, we're looking for creative, detail-oriented UCAT Question Writers to design accurate questions with clear explanations.

The resources you create will help thousands of students develop the real skills and strategies needed to succeed in the UCAT. You'll be a core part of a passionated and dedicated team working on creating Australia's newest and most innovative UCAT Question Bank.

Who Are We

We are Australia's fastest-growing medical/dental preparation company, specialising in comprehensive, innovative and results-driven UCAT and Interview preparation which empowers students to gain admission into medicine and dentistry. 200+ of our 2024 students received offers into medical/dental school for 2025, including 73 offers into Monash, 53 into UQ, 47 into JMP (UoN/UNE), 46 into UNSW and 42 into Adelaide Uni

Our UCAT & Interview programs are characterised by engaging group lessons, abundant resources and 24/7 support, as well as industry-first initiatives such as Australia's first Simulated UCAT Testing Centres and Free 1-On-1 Admissions Consultations. Our students achieve record-breaking UCAT results, including the World Record UCAT Score of , a 3060 Median (2024), 1 in 2 score 90th Percentile (2024), and 43 x 99th Percentile students

Over 2000 students and 100 staff have joined us since our founding. In 2024, we successfully expanded our in-person Live Testing Centres to Brisbane and Sydney, with over 1000 bookings, and hundreds of new enrolments from all over Australia. In 2025, we now have permanent in-person centres in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and in April we expanded to Perth and Adelaide with free events for hundreds of students. The Role

Preparing for the UCAT is often overwhelming, with students often receiving contradictory and confusing advice. At Contour, we provide all of our students with a clear preparation plan by teaching fundamental strategies and mindsets, and backing them with high-quality, rigorous practice materials.

As a UCAT Question Writer, you'll design accurate, purposeful questions that let students practise the skills that really work, alongside clear explanations that break down complex questions and highlight strategies which genuinely work on the exam. Every question you create will become a powerful learning tool for thousands of students.

This role is perfect for someone creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping students. You'll use your critical thinking and strong communication skills to ensure every resource adds value. While mostly remote and flexible, the role is also highly collaborative, with regular communication between writers, tutors, and management. Ultimately, you'll make a tangible impact on aspiring doctors and dentists, giving them the skills and confidence to succeed on exam day.

Comprehensive Training & Support

From day one, you'll be guided through a structured onboarding program, working closely with our leadership and UCAT Resources Team Leader to master our software, processes, and standards. You'll receive personalised feedback and practical training so that creating top-tier questions becomes second nature.

Training continues beyond onboarding with regular 1-on-1 check-ins and team meetings, ensuring ongoing growth. We also keep things social, with catch-ups that help you build lasting connections within the team.

Key Responsibilities

As one of our UCAT Question and Solution Writers, your main responsibilities include:

• Question Writing – Create unique, skill-focused UCAT questions that accurately reflect the exam's style, difficulty, and techniques, giving students repeated practice with the concepts that matter most.
• Solution Creation – Write clear, comprehensive explanations that not only show the correct answer but also teach time-saving strategies and boost student accuracy.
• Proofreading & Review – Check and refine the work of other writers to maintain the highest standards, improving clarity, accuracy, and phrasing so questions test core skills without unnecessary confusion.
• Training & Collaboration – Take part in structured onboarding, regular 1-on-1 check-ins, and weekly team meetings to share feedback, learn from peers, and continuously improve resources.

Expected Work Hours

• Minimum of 15 Hours/Week.

Compensation

• $25/hour + Super
• Fixed Bonuses are paid when questions are successfully published on our online question bank

Prior Tutoring or Content Creation Experience

Studying Medicine or Dentistry in Australia (or already graduated)
