About the Role

We are looking for a Device Configuration & Dispatch Technician to join our operations team. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, organising warehouse inventory, preparing and shipping hardware orders, and configuring devices prior to deployment. Your work ensures that customers receive hardware that is correctly prepared, documented and ready to perform in the field.

This is a hands-on operational role that directly supports our IoT deployments, Workforce Guidance platform, and national customer base. You will be a key part of ensuring device reliability, smooth logistics, and high-quality customer delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Keep storage areas, shelving, and hardware inventory well organised and labelled.
  • Prepare and pack shipments for customers, ensuring all orders are complete and correct.
  • Configure devices following standard operating procedures.
  • Apply firmware updates, load configuration profiles, and perform basic testing before dispatch.
  • Log device serial numbers, configuration details, and shipment data in our internal systems.
  • Coordinate with the operations and delivery teams to plan upcoming deployments.
  • Assist with receiving and processing incoming hardware deliveries.
  • Follow safety and handling standards.
  • Support occasional troubleshooting of devices under guidance from senior technicians.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow configuration checklists.
  • Basic technical aptitude with hardware, devices, or electronics.
  • Ability to stay organised and maintain tidy, efficient stock areas.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable using computers, spreadsheets, and online systems.
  • Reliable, punctual, and takes ownership of tasks.

Desirable:

  • Experience with IoT devices, sensors, or similar technical equipment.
  • Prior experience in pick/pack, dispatch, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with hardware or networking equipment.
  • Familiarity with Android device configuration or firmware loading.
