Redcliffe State High School has an exciting opportunity for a full-time School Technical Officer.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to manage and maintain our ICT infrastructure while providing exceptional support to staff and students.

This is a progressional position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Manage and maintain the school's ICT network, including servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Deliver prompt and effective technical support to staff and students, ensuring minimal interruption to teaching and learning.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of hardware and software systems
  • Oversee network security, data integrity, and backup operations to ensure system reliability and protection.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance the use and integration of technology in classrooms.
  • Accurately record and maintain documentation of ICT assets, maintenance activities, and service requests.

  • Proven experience in providing ICT support, ideally within educational or large-scale enterprise settings is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the Department of Education's Code of Conduct and maintaining the highest standards of student safety.
