This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to join our Engineering team in Adelaide. Here they will draw their previous management experience to develop and support a dedicated workshop, whilst fostering an outstanding safety culture .
As The Workshop Manager Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Oversight and management of a dedicated workshop in support of Explosive Ordnance Projects
- Lead the implementation of the onsite Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool
- Manage the servicing and calibration of technical equipment within the Workshop
- Drive safety culture within the customer site to ensure WHS compliance with all workshop users
- Provide technical input to support user requirements
- Develop or maintain documentation including Work Orders, Work Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessments, Equipment
- maintenance procedures
- Potential support to customer training and competency management
To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate with have experience in the following;
- Significant manufacturing/production experience leading safety-critical technical operations
- Relevant trade qualification(s) - certified mechanical/electrical technician (essential)
- Certificate IV WH&S certification (preferred)
- Substantial hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi discipline workshop environment (essential)
- Demonstrated experience leading teams within technical quality management frameworks
- Experience leading improvement processes implementations e.g. Lean, Six Sigma
- Ability to engage positively
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold or have recently held an NVI Australian Defence security clearance
