What you'll do:

As Senior Project Manager Procurement, you will be entrusted with steering high-impact projects from conception through to implementation within a dynamic educational context. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating multiple work streams simultaneously-balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution. You will engage regularly with internal teams as well as external partners to ensure every aspect of the procurement transformation aligns with broader organisational goals.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex procurement projects using agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies tailored to organisational needs.
  • Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables and success criteria in close partnership with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing budgets, timelines, risk registers, dependencies, and resource allocations to ensure objectives are achieved efficiently.
  • Monitor progress across multiple work streams by proactively identifying risks and issues while implementing effective mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.

What you bring:

To excel as Senior PM (Procurement) you will bring a wealth of proven experience delivering transformative projects within highly regulated environments-ideally within education or similar sectors. Your background should reflect deep familiarity with both traditional project management frameworks (such as PRINCE2) and modern agile approaches (including DevOps practices), allowing you to adapt methodologies according to situational demands. Your interpersonal strengths will shine through your ability to build consensus among diverse groups while maintaining focus on shared objectives. A keen understanding of technology integration challenges-especially those related to procurement systems-and an unwavering attention to detail are essential.

  • Extensive experience managing large-scale IT projects focused on finance or procurement.
  • In-depth knowledge of finance and procurement technologies or SAP Ariba preferably or (Oracle, SAP S4HANA, Coupa).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams-including third-party vendors-across all phases of the project life cycle
  • Strong capabilities in budget control, risk assessment, issue resolution, contract negotiation and vendor relationship management.
  • Experience working within complex stakeholder environments such as education or public sector organisations where collaboration is essential for success.
