The opportunity

We are seeking an
Investment Analyst / Associate
to join our Australian team. Reporting to the Investment Director, you will play a key role in evaluating, structuring, and executing investments across our growing renewable energy portfolio. This is a hands-on role in a listed group environment, suited to someone with strong financial modelling expertise, commercial acumen, and a passion for clean energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV) for project acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures.
  • Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate risk/return profiles.
  • Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reports for internal committees, investors, and stakeholders.
  • Support transaction structuring, due diligence, and negotiations during M&A processes.
  • Analyse market trends (including NEM pricing, FCAS, and regulatory developments).
  • Undertake competitor benchmarking and market research to inform strategy.
  • Work closely with senior leadership (CEO, CFO, Investment Director) to assess capital allocation and engage with investors.
  • Support or lead project sales processes, including managing advisors and negotiating agreements.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • 2–5 years' experience in an Analyst/Associate role (energy infrastructure or renewables preferred).
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Solid understanding of the Australian NEM and regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Desirable skills and qualifications:

  • CFA, CA, or similar qualifications.
  • Experience with a developer, IPP, investment banking, or corporate finance in renewables.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • A passion for the energy transition.
