Compass Care Group is looking for Support Workers across Perth Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Suburbs. We are looking for support workers who can work without supervision, ready to make difference to differently abled person and be a part of Compass Care Family.

Qualifications & experience

  • Cert III Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Current WA Unrestricted Driver License
  • National Police Clearance (current within 6 months)
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check to be obtained if successful and prior to commencing work.
  • Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling certificates or willing to obtain prior to commencing work
  • Current working with Children Check (or willing to apply).
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS worker orientation module, supporting effective communication, supporting safe and enjoyable meals, new worker NDIS Induction Module and Covid 19 infection control certificate prior to commencing work
  • Vehicle safety inspection certificate with current vehicle registration & Clean, reliable and road worthy car with comprehensive insurance.
  • A proof of COVID 19 and Influenzas Vaccinations and/or willingness to provide vaccinations certificates as per disability industry standards.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Support clients to participate in age-appropriate activities and tasks including employment, in home support including personal care and household chores, and community access.
  • Provide direct assistance to each client in accordance with their service plan and as directed
  • Work in accordance with the medication administration policy, work health and safety procedures and client right's policies including privacy and confidentiality.
  • Monitor the safety and well-being of the clients and report any concerns to the Manager.
  • Ensure completion of appropriate documentation. Relevant information on support provided is to be recorded in client notes and communication book as required.
  • Work with clients, family/carers, relevant case managers and other professionals to support the client's individual goals.
  • Liaise extensively with other staff to ensure the overall smooth and consistent running of the service.
  • Notify the service if you are unable to work your rostered shifts, with as much notice as possible.
  • Report any quality and safety incident or hazards at work to line Manager or Supervisor.
  • Carry out roles and responsibilities as detailed in the relevant policies and processes
