Are you ready to take the handlebars of one of the Mornington Peninsula's most exciting bike shops?
Jetty Road Cycles is looking for a motivated Sales / Store Manager to lead our retail team, drive sales, and engage with the local riding community.This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance the buzz of the sales floor with the responsibility of keeping the shop running smoothly. If you're passionate about bikes, love building strong teams, and want to make an impact in the cycling community, this could be the role for you.
What you'll be doing
- Leading the retail team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Running weekly toolbox meetings and delivering ongoing staff training.
- Driving promotions, merchandising, and customer engagement in-store.
- Overseeing the Workshop Manager (who reports to you) and aligning workshop performance with store goals.
- Managing supplier relationships and inventory at a high level.
- Acting as the face of the shop for key customers, resolving escalations when needed.
- Leading a weekly shop ride to engage the local community and grow our brand presence.
- Ensuring compliance, safety, and strong operational standards across the business.
What success looks like
- Sales and profitability targets are consistently achieved.
- Staff are motivated, trained, and working together seamlessly.
- Customers leave the store happy, return regularly, and recommend us to their mates.
- Our weekly shop ride is thriving, helping to build community and brand loyalty.
What we're looking for
- Proven retail or sales leadership experience (bike industry experience is a bonus but not essential).
- Strong organisational and operational skills.
- Confidence in coaching, mentoring, and motivating a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A passion for customer service and community engagement.
- Financial awareness and the ability to keep an eye on margins and costs.
