IDEXX is seeking an experienced and driven Veterinary Laboratory Scientist to join our close-knit collaborative team at our diagnostic veterinary laboratory in Perth. This is a 10-month parental leave contract, with shifts scheduled Monday to Saturday. The laboratory operates between 5am and 6pm, however arrangement for part day shifts with variable start times is possible. While this role is offered on a full-time basis, we are open to considering part-time arrangements for the right candidate.

In this role, you'll work alongside a supportive team of scientists, technicians, and pathologists, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and timely diagnostic testing services for the IDEXX Reference Laboratories. You will apply your expertise in blood science investigations, exercising sound professional judgment in the interpretation, verification, and validation of laboratory analyses and test results.

The Successful candidate…

  • You will be an experienced Veterinary Scientist who is familiar with a diagnostic laboratory workflow.

  • You will have Haematology experience (desired)

  • You will have exposure to Chemistry, Patient Sample Management, Urinalysis or Parasitology

  • You will have a strong attention to detail and an ability to multi-task

  • You will have experience with complex troubleshooting

  • You will be an overall team player with a positive attitude
