This role is responsible for the risk-based monitoring of approved research clinical trials and ensuring compliance within various guidelines

PLEASE NOTE: This position may also be filled by a Nurse Manager as per the attached role description.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Team Lead (Research, Monitoring and Compliance) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Lead the monitoring of approved research and clinical trials
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems, best practice policies, and procedures
  • Provide advice and education on research matters
  • Conduct risk assessments of investigator-initiated clinical trials and assign a risk-based monitoring plan

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Qualification: As per attached Role Description
  • AHPRA Registration (if applicable)
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Temporary full time (up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum

The Research unit provides a focal point for research, including clinical trials, and supports a diverse range of research program across the Gold Coast. The unit supports GCHHS staff to undertake high-quality research through providing research governance, compliance, and development opportunities that build research capabilities across the organisation.
