Assistant Café Manager – New Opening | Surfers Paradise

We're opening a brand-new café in Surfers Paradise this December — a vibrant coastal space where great coffee, delicious food, and genuine hospitality come together. We're looking for an energetic and hands-on Assistant Café Manager to help lead the team and bring this venue to life.

What You'll Do

As Assistant Manager, you'll be the right hand to the Café Manager — supporting daily operations, leading the team, and ensuring every guest walks away smiling. This is an incredible opportunity to grow your leadership skills in a brand-new venue and be part of something from the very start.

You'll:

  • Support the Café Manager in daily operations and run the shifts when they're not there
  • Lead and motivate front of house staff
  • Maintain service standards and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with rostering, stock management, and ordering
  • Help train, coach, and develop team members
  • Bring positive energy and initiative to everything you do

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in a supervisor or assistant manager role (hospitality or café environment)
  • A love for great coffee, food, and people
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and team spirit
