The PMO Manager is a key and central role to delivering the very best customer solutions. This role will work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and squads to drive the development and execution of financial solutions across our customer base. You will establish best practice across our delivery teams, ensuring value is efficiently and effectively delivered to customers.

Overall, the program delivery team aims to not only increase the effectiveness of our business and technology products but keep the customer and user experience front of mind in all aspects of delivery. 

Key Responsibilities;

  • Ensure the successful implementation of the PMO's strategy, services and deliverables.

  • Monitor reporting and assist squads in reporting to Senior Executives and stakeholders.

  • Establish frameworks and standards for scaled agile delivery.

  • Produce Portfolio Roadmaps

  • Financial Management including Portfolio related financial and KPI information

  • Manage purchase orders, invoices and reconciliation of budgets, including end of month processes.

  • Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed

  • Maintain Jira Cloud and ensure ticket hygiene across squads

  • Provide and maintain a capacity planning and resource tracking service across squads

  • Update and maintain the Risk Log, Action Log, Decisions Log, and Issue Register

  • planned Track financial reporting whilst ensuring that all work adheres to the agreed budgets

  • Ensure dependencies are managed.

  • Assist to build high-performing teams and motivate teams to produce quality work.

  • Define and embed controls and governance.

  • Where necessary, provide Project planning, Milestone management, Scope management, Resource forecasting;

  • Financial Management; Change Management across the project portfolio

  • Prepare high quality ad-hoc and regular status reporting for the engagement

Qualifications

  • Significant experience of relevant Agile delivery, project management and PMO management.

  • Line management or team leadership experience

Experience

  • Experience of managing a PMO office

  • Proven track record for planning, executing, controlling and closing initiatives in a hybrid scaled agile / project management environment

  • Experience of project management using scaled agile and traditional waterfall methodologies (or equivalent) for medium to large sized projects

  • Produce Portfolio Roadmaps

  • Highly proficient in Financial Management, forecasting and tracking. Able to challenge vendors on invoices and highlight budget concerns.

  • Extensive experience in Jira Cloud

  • Experience of defining and delivering benefits realisation

  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining project and program plans, sprint plans including risks, actions, issues, dependencies

  • Highly efficient in resource planning and tasks assignment

  • Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management and resource planning

  • Highly proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS project

  • Line management or team leader experience
