S H Tait & Co are seeking a Management Accountant to work for our client, a locally owned and operated engineering and fabrication company operating in Emerald. Our client requires a highly motivated team player who has experience working as a Management Accountant and has previously assisted a business to manage their accounts department. You will be a part of a small management team, which has a high level of operational experience and autonomy.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records with Reckon /JAQ software.

Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments and collections.

Perform end-to-end payroll processing activities, ensuring accurate data input of timesheets, leave, allowances, deductions, and other entitlements.

Maintaining payroll records and supporting HR documentation.

Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.

Prepare and analyse financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheet including reporting to senior management.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience in the above responsibilities.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred.

Degree qualifications in accounting or currently studying (not essential)

Experience with computerised financial management systems

Experienced MS Excel, Word and Outlook

Ability to interpret industrial awards for payroll is desirable.

A high level of initiative, organisation, and time management skills

Ability to take direction and receptive to learning new processes.
