Asset Accounting Officer

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Asset Accounting Officer to contribute to Council's success.

  • Opportunity to build knowledge and understanding of Council's major services

  • Enjoy work life balance with a 9 -day fortnight

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to support and contribute to deliver efficient accounting and reporting requirements of Council's assets in accordance with relevant Australian standards, legislation, best practice and Councils Asset Management System.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience within a similar Asset Accounting Officer / Project Administrator role.
  • Sound analytical and excel skills.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of general ledger and other accounting modules in an integrated financial system environment.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in conducting investigations of financial accounting matters.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Sound communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
