About the role

SA Confectionery Corporation PTY LTD trading as "Dirranbandi Bakery" is seeking a full-time Management Accountant to join our team and work on site in Dirranbandi QLD 4486. As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and strategic decision-making of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support management decision-making
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to help identify cost-saving opportunities and drive profitability
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Take inventory and maintain sufficient stock of products and ingredients
  • Place orders with suppliers
  • Create payment schedules
  • Expand product line and forecast sales
  • Set and adjust prices by calculating expenses and profit and aligning with the market price
  • Communicate with customers to provide catering prices, create and send invoices
  • Conduct risk assessment on purchasing new equipment or machinery, replacing or repairing the old ones, purchasing additional land or building
  • Assist with the cost estimation for the bakery extension
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Identify and resolve accounting issues, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CA qualification is desirable
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a management accounting or financial analysis role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work on a long-term basis will be a benefit
