**Reporting to**: Service Manager

**Purpose of Position**:
The Field Supervisor will be responsible for supervising field operatives and providing operational support in various operative processes including the customer consultation process, spot audits, quality control and safety. The Field Supervisor will be required to provide technical support and direction as needed to the Operative team as well as other stakeholders in the business and will play a critical role in ensuring larger projects are delivered within established budgets, scope and timeframes. In addition, the Field Supervisor will:

- Lead field projects including field modernisations and refurbishments
- Prioritises tasks and assign team members (and / or subcontractors) to ensure that the team’s overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.
- Evaluate and authorise changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of profitability estimates of key projects and manages project risks effectively.
- Manage ongoing relationships with external contractors ensuring the organization receives agreed standards of service
- Perform regular Audits to monitor the quality of work performed by field operatives
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture and actively encourage the reporting of observations. Incidents and near misses. Perform third party inspections as/ when required
Identify parts and know where to source information on parts
- Directly supervise technicians (and/or subcontracted labour) time entries and approve time sheets
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the Australian Standards and act as a point of contact for others within the business.

**Working Relationships**:

- Reporting directly to the Service Manager
- Works directly with Administrators, Planners & Sales personnel within the branch
- Liaises directly with customers driving the Konecranes and Demag LIFECYCLE Care delivery process
- Liaises with other operational areas in the organization (for example engineering, drafting, technical) to secure specialized resources and contributions for projects
- Liaises with/ supports the front-line management and sales teams as required to help secure additional projects.

**Brief Summary of Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
**ACCOUNTABILITIES and RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Supervise all field activities for Operatives within the local team
- Provide regular, timely and constructive feedback to all field Technicians including during the appraisal process.
- Report all incidents through the appropriate channels in a timely and consistent manner
- Promote the accurate and timely submission of Operative timesheets
- As required, ensure that jobs are effectively planned, and parts/ access equipment is ready for job delivery
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Recommend, price/quote large or complex repairs, modifications and replacement components using Konecranes and Demag tools
- Coordinate internal resource requirements with front line and third party/vendors for the effective execution of projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards.
