About The Role
The Team Leader will lead, direct and coordinate all functions within the assigned area of Production within our distribution centre to ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of Logistics.
The Team Leader will also ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building, stock and plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and ensure the teamwork withing the framework of the COS Values.
Span of working hours range from 9:00am-6:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate store personnel and teams to ensure efficient picking, packing, and order fulfillment across distribution centre zones.
- Manage department operations and policies to maintain warehouse standards, quality control, and meet performance targets.
- Oversee maintenance and use of equipment and technology in the department, including automation systems, MHE, and warehouse management tools

Desktop PC's and Monitors - Using space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently and make sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
- Relevant packing and or strapping of goods
- Waste Management – sorting and recycling
- Recommend investments and coordinate operations to enhance efficiency, safety, environmental goals, and meet quality and budget targets.
- Assist DC Leader with labour planning, including recruitment and training, establishing work schedules, monitor and evaluate team performance, and coaching and guiding your team
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure inbound flow is achieved
- Ensure compliance with warehousing, handling, and shipping regulations by staying updated on relevant legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and hygienic work environment by enforcing health and safety standards and monitoring security protocols for proper storage of sensitive items
About You
- Qualifications in Business Admin, Warehousing and Logistics preferred but not essential.
- Understanding on LEAN concepts
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience of:
- Safety 1st Culture
- Working in an Automated warehousing environment
- Planning of workflow
- People management principles and practices
- Information technology skills including but not limited to warehouse management systems
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- Valid Forklift Licence - Counterbalance experience desirable but not essential
