The Role

We're seeking a dynamic and results-driven Collections Manager to lead two Team Leaders and a broader team of nine. You'll oversee end-to-end collections for non-supermarket customers, manage the bad debt provision, and ensure compliance with the Group Credit Policy.

Reporting to the Group Manager of Credit, you'll be supported in delivering strategic outcomes, with a key focus in driving team engagement and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

This role offers flexible working arrangements—two days onsite in Docklands (Wednesday and Thursday) and three days from home—giving you the best of both worlds.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Non-Grocery Collections Team to drive performance and engagement

  • Ensure collection targets are met in line with the Group Credit Policy

  • Build strong relationships with Sales, Customers, and the broader Credit function

  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies

  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)

  • Proven experience leading high-performing Collections or Credit teams

  • Demonstrated experience in project or process improvement

  • Strong understanding of credit controls and experience working with auditors

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage challenging conversations and stakeholders
