About us

Micromac Computers provides all levels of Information Technology Support. We have been in business for over 25 years and provide IT Support Services to many home users and business clients as well as the NSW Department of Education.

Although our Head Office is based in Charmhaven, this position will primarily be based inside a school.

We currently have 2 positions available, one in Newcastle and one on the Central Coast.

Qualifications & Experience

  • The successful applicant should be conscientious and have at least 1 year technical experience. The applicant must also have a drivers license and own reliable vehicle and be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment.

  • Experience with desktop repair, laptop repair, and network equipment is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of printer repair would be advantageous.

  • Administrator level proficiency in Windows operating systems also preferred.

  • Australian work rights are required for this position.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • The position title is Technology Support Officer (TSO) and the successful applicant will be permanently based in a school providing IT support to all Staff and Students on a daily basis.

  • Tasks will include help desk style support for software and hardware issues including Wi-Fi, printer and audio visual connectivity issues.

  • There will also be warranty and out of warranty repairs for laptops / desktops etc.

  • This position offers flexible and variable working hours.
