CS GAS is a specialist supplier of well optimisation, production process control (SCADA) systems and a provider of gas field services.  Our organisation has a multidiscipline engineering focus with operations that include fabrication (welding - pressure piping, vessels, structural), mechanical assembly, electrical, instrumentation and industrial control systems.

We are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our team. This role will initially be based at our Yatala/Stapylton project site, where you will support the manufacture and installation of industrial electrical systems.

Hours Monday- Friday 06:00 – 16:30, with overtime dependent on project demands.

The successful applicant will have a high regard for quality, safety and communication and customer relation skills. You will be exposed to a range of opportunities to develop your skills within a highly supportive team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate multiple teams on site
  • Accurately set out work areas prior to construction activities
  • Oversee crane operations safely and in accordance with procedures
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings, including isometrics and P&ID schematics
  • Ensure compliance with all CS GAS and project safety and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free worksite
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure project quality standards are upheld

Essential

  • Minimum 5 years onsite experience
  • Construction White Card
  • Manual machining and in-situ machining competency
  • Ability to set out work accurately from technical plans
  • Current Australian Driver's License
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including isometric and P&ID schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
