We're looking for an experienced Civil Leading Hand or Trainee Leading Hand to join our Team based in Stapylton. Key team member leading one of our Civil crews and support the construction of Energex Residential and Commercial subdivision projects across SEQ.

About YouWe are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong work ethic and the ability to motivate teams to gain full productivity.  Including:

  • Proven track record of Energex experience, with knowledge of construction manuals and expectations
  • Self-motivation and leadership qualities

  • Attention to detail and pride taken in all aspects of work

  • Experienced in construction of Energex assets - installing conduits, cable hauling, pillars, transformers and street lighting

  • Experience in NBN pits installation

  • Good communication skills with colleagues and site foremen

  • Ability to follow company procedures for compliance

  • All other tickets/ licences and current competencies preferred

  • At least 5 years industry experience
  • Experience working around live services and to Energex standards
  • Current drivers licence - (MR/HR preferred)
  • Strong communication, planning and interpersonal skills
  • A team-first attitude with a focus on safety and performance
  • Energex accreditations – highly regarded
  • This is a hands-on role, ability to undertake works alongside team members is essential

Your role will include:

  • Delivering Energex works across subdivision projects
  • Overseeing daily site operations and crew coordination
  • Procurement of plant and materials as needed
  • Ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards are met
  • This is a hands-on role, ability to undertake works alongside team members is essential
