SCC are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Hospitality Services Team Member to support catering, laundry, and domestic services at our Oasis Residential Aged Care Home in Mildura.

About the role
In this multi-skilled role, you'll be an integral part of our team, assisting with kitchen, laundry, and general cleaning duties in line with infection control and safety standards for aged care homes. You'll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, operating equipment safely and following scheduled tasks with care and attention to detail. A positive "can-do" attitude and the ability to work well in a team are essential to delivering these vital services.
Some responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the kitchen with meal preparation, plating, and dishwashing
- Completing laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and distribution
- Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to the highest standard
- Following cleaning and laundry schedules, and completing associated documentation
- Communicating and coordinating with other team members to meet residents' needs
- Monitoring stock levels for supplies and assisting with ordering and record keeping
- Following all Workplace Health and Safety & Infection Control procedures at all times
What you will bring to the role
- Previous experience in catering, laundry, or domestic assistant roles (aged care experience desirable)
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning practices
- A caring nature, and compassion and empathy for the elderly
- Strong time management, communication skills, and a team-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends

Southern Cross Care (SCC) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
Since then, SCC has grown to employ over 1700 staff caring for and supporting more than 2000 people across 17 residential aged care homes, 8 retirement villages, 28 social houses, the National Disability and Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and home care services in metropolitan and regional Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
